Autumn Art Project

Yesterday, Kaia and mama went on a walk around the neighborhood. It was a crisp, windy autumn afternoon. Each of us had picked up a very large maple leaf and were jumping on small piles of leaves. We ended up gathering a number of colorful fall leaves and went back home to do an art project with the leaves we'd collected. We grated several different colors of crayons. Then Kaia placed leaves on wax paper and selected which crayon shavings and amounts to sprinkle on top then mama placed another piece of wax paper on top and ironed the leaves and colors together between the wax paper. They are hanging on our sliding glass doors as our little piece of our walk and autumn inside.
